How our days work

A warm, safe and welcoming space — here's the spirit we bring to every session.

🎨 Artist Rules

  • Everyone is welcome and included.
  • Our hands stay on our own bodies.
  • Feelings are fine, but fighting is not acceptable.
  • Everyone's art is GOOD art!

🔒 Drop-off, pick-up & conduct

  • Doors are always locked while children are inside.
  • Sign-in / sign-out sheets are used every session.
  • The adult dropping off must list who is authorized to pick up. Tell us in advance if someone else will be picking up.
  • No foul language inside or outside, by children or adults.
  • No smoking or vaping on the property — please put it out before you arrive.

🧸 A calm-down space

A calm-down space is prepared for anyone having a hard day, or who doesn't want to participate in the day's planned activities. It's a quieter room with coloring books and crayons available to use.

💛 Everyone's welcome

  • Children with an IEP are welcome, with parent/guardian supervision. Please reach out to Leah to talk through an appropriate class strategy for your child.
  • All parents are welcome to stay, but encouraged not to be a distraction so the kids don't feel pressure and can be free to express themselves.

We start every day with a cheer, led by Lindsey Burk

“Are you caring?” — Yeah!

“Are you kind?” — Yeah!

“Do you love all of your body and your mind?” — Yeah!

“Are you creative?” — Yeah!

“Are you courageous?” — Yeah!

“Is the light and love you have just so contagious?” — Yeah!

“Are we gonna have a good day?!” — Yeah!

🌧️ Rainy day? We're still making art

If the weather doesn't cooperate, we've got back-up fun ready to go:

  • Take & Bake — clay artwork to take home and bake-dry, plus mason jars of cookie mix to make with grown-ups.
  • Kinetic sand play.
